Captain Earth

Like I always do, on the look out for a good anime to watch. And here’s one. If you’re into mechas, gundams and stuff, you will like this.

CE01

Main protagonist to your left.

CE02

Sexy.

CE03

Familiar?

No like mechas?

CE04

Just too bad.

  1. Hello Dr,
I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions regarding medicine(and I’m sorry it had to be on this anime post, haha!) You see, I’m about to be done with my final year of medschool and would start work by next year. I’ve pondered a lot about what I’d like to do in life(i.e. Specialize in, etc) and so far, what I’ve concluded is that I’d like to specialize in something that’ll give me both balance and ample time with my family life(I’m female, by the way).

Not saying that females aren’t capable of achieving greater things, I’m just being realistic when it comes to life and knowing how a mother’s influence on her children can be very much important. So far, I’ve thought about Family Medicine and teaching as a lecturer as two important careers that’d be able to give me the opportunity to engage in both sides of the spectrum and I wanted to know from you, what is the possible workload of being in Family Medicine and what are the steps and procedures that’ll lead me in the right direction.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and you response is greatly appreciated. Have a nice day! 🙂

    • Hello Ikhaism, Good to know that you’re planning way ahead. But really, you won’t really know what you want until you’ve started working. Although family medicine has a kinda more flexible time as compared to the other specialties but it ain’t everyone’s cup of tea. ENT, ophthalmology or dermatology are some of the more popular ones as compared to family medicine. I suggest you rotate through all the required postings to get a feel of each then to decide which best suits you. Workload depends on the place you work at. You won’t know until you’re in it. The clinic which I work in, at times, I’ve got to see up to 60 – 70 patients per day and it can be really exhausting. I guess the first step forward is to decide as to whether you’ve more medically or surgically inclined first, then work your way up from there.
